Cross Country– Despite the heat, our Golden Bears ran hard. The 5th/6th girls ran away with another win! The 4th grade girls came up just short in their race, but did an amazing job at working as a team to make the race very close! We are also proud of our boys for their focus and preference to run their best races. A big congratulations to Loie Madsen for being selected as the Clovis North Area Athlete of Character by the Copper Hill Coaches Cords and Vitale!! 4th Grade: Leslie Prado & Jerry Garcia 5th & 6th Grade– Ellie Greenlaw & Paean Ocampo

Girls A Volleyball– "A" team showed tremendous improvement against a very good Copper Hills team, but came up short. Scores were 16-25, 25-18, 6-15.

Girls B Volleyball– The Ladybears mashed the Miners winning 2 out of 2 games. Staying alive on the court and positive cheers from the bench contributed to our winning match. Athlete of the Week: Giselle Garcia for an amazing deep pass.

Girls C Volleyball– We played hard against the Miners and won 1 of 3 of our games! Great effort by all! Naazima Hamed Player of the week for her great movement on the court.

Football– Copper Hills hosted our Bears in the second annual "Battle for Maple" last Friday. Despites a strong effort from Mountain View the Huskies ran away with a 35-0 win. The first team also came short with a score of 7-0. Luke Wiens (again!) and Brenton Duzi were the highlights for Mountain View and are the athlete of the week. After spending the week practicing, our Bears will host Riverview to take on the Rams this Friday in our second league game. Go Bears!!
