Mountain View Elementary has been designated as a Title 1 school. The basic principle of Title 1 is that schools with large concentrations of low-income students will receive supplemental categorical funds to assist in meeting student's educational goals.
To learn about how we use our categorical funds to support our students at Mountain View, we encourage you to attend our School Site Council meetings. We meet once a quarter in the Technology Lab from 3:15-4:15 pm.
In addition, we invite all Mountain View families and community members to attend our Title I Parent Information Nights. This year, there are two opportunities for you to learn about how Mountain View and our Title 1 status benefits our students. Please join us at one of the following dates:
Thursday, October 10th as part of our Parent Academy night. Dinner and free child care is provided. RSVP needed for this night to ensure food amounts and child care coverage. Please RSVP to Kim Podesta at
[email protected] or 327-7500.
Tuesday, October 15th at 5:30 PM in the library
For more information, please contact Melissa Holdener or Kim Podesta at 327-7500.
