Bronco Band Blitz Was A Hit!

Each year during the marching band season, Clovis North Band and Color Guard comes out to all of the elementary schools to build the community connections, create interest in their programs, and show off their musicianship. Along with some pep songs and pieces of their field show, the Bronco Band gave a few of our Golden Bears an extra treat and taught them how to conduct the Bronco Fight Song. Thank you to Mr. Lesser, Mr. Gabrielson, Mr. Vargas, and all of the rest of the CN directors and coaches, and GO BRONCOS!

Reminders for Parents - Hallways, Birthday Treats, and Parking

HALLWAYS - For the safety of our students and staff, NO visitors should be entering the halls without first being checked in and cleared by the office. If you need to drop something off, remind your student about how they are getting home, or any other reason, you have to come into the office first (and most of those reasons will not get you a pass to class - we will get the items or information to your child at a time that does not interrupt instruction). If you bypass this step, you will be addressed very directly by staff and you must follow their directions immediately. If you need to meet with your child's teacher, please communicate that via email, ParentSquare, or by calling the office - we will get them the message to call you back.
BIRTHDAY TREATS - for a couple years now, all schools in the Clovis North Area have moved away from parents bringing snacks for the class on birthdays. If you feel inclined to bring something special for the class to celebrate your student's birthday, you may bring things like pencils, erasers, stickers, etc, but no food. If you bring food items to the office to drop off, we will, unfortunately, have to ask you to take it home.
PARKING - When Mountain View was built more than 35 years ago, they did so with the idea that it would be a walk-in school - that homes would be so closely located to the site that heavy vehicle traffic would not be the norm. Well, they apparently didn't take into account how significant a thoroughfare Alluvial would become and maybe didn't consider how families would be looping through to drop students here then head off to Granite Ridge or a day care site before making their way to work. If you look at newer schools, they have longer, and sometimes more than one, drop-off zones serving their schools. Bottom line is, we don't have those long dedicated areas for our drop-offs/pick-ups. We know parking is tough here at the school, but we really need more cooperation in those areas. If you are pulling into aloading zone (any white curb) you are supposed to stay with your vehicle. For those who know you will need to walk in to collect your child from kindergarten or first grade, you will need to park along the street or in the parking cube over off Maple Avenue and walk in. Refusing to comply could end up with individuals being ticketed or required to park off campus. Let's not let it get to that, please.
