Mountain View GROWL

April 7, 2026

Congratulations to Our Science Fair Participants!

Golden Bears represented MV well at the County Science Fair

Under the direction of our Science Fair Advisor, Ms. Lassley, our 5th and 6th grade students made their mark at the annual county competition. In the category of Environmental Sciences, 6th graders Violet W. took 4th place and Lillian D. took 3rd in their bracket, while 5th grader Emma F. received first place in hers. Rayleigh G. received 3rd place under 6th Grade Chemistry, 5th grader London J. took second place in Physics and Astronomy, and the 6th grade duo of Valerie H. and Aven M. placed first for their team project in Biochemistry. Those are some pretty amazing results - having seven students finishing in the top four in their categories with the Valerie/Aven team qualifying for State Science Fair is a spectacular feat - thank you to all of the students and parents and to Ms. Lassley for putting together such a competitive and rigorous program. Great job, Golden Bears!
